~Truly Eventful Day~

yesterday, me took a day off & dar took 1/2 day off...simply needing a break & also to 'catch up' on our bb shopping..=)

about noon, me got ready to drive to pick up Dar...its the 1st time since preggie that i'm gg to drive alone for a long distance ! (mmm.. i've been still driving..but its usually jus round the neighbourhood)

pat pat my tummy & told my little precious
"Be good ya..mummy is gg to fetch daddy and we are gg shopping for your stuff =)"
Thankfully, the whole drive was pretty smooth & therapeutic..heee..

Dar & I had a quick lunch @ the hawker @ Upper Cross Street & we are heading to the famous 'Cheong Choon Store' . Yup, this place is like a wholesale place for baby products..not a fanciful place..but they sure have a huge range of stuff @ pretty reasonable price (they can even place order for you if they dun have the stock..!) lotsa good reviews from the mummies & mummies-to-be from the forum =)

luckily its a weekday and we were the only ones in the shop. The shop owner, Winnie was really helpful in going thru with me the stuff i need / stuff that are not so nec etc...think we spent close to 2 hours in the shop and here's what we bought ! (even the shop assistant had to help us load the stuff into the car-boot !)

:: Stuff we bought :
For bb- foam mattress / bath tub / cotton balls / cotton buds / nappies / nappy liners / nappy pins / bb bath towels / bb face towels / basic button-down tops & bottoms / fan/ detergents for bb bottles; clothes / bb powder / bb bathing shower gel/ bb tummy binder

For Me- powder for the hair (for my confinement) / disposable underwear / breast pads/ nipple cream ::

next up, head down to Orchard !! passed by Aussino..and mmmm..bot this hooded towel + jersey blanket with Mickey print ( since our little precious will be born in the Year of the Rat..that makes him a baby Mickey ya...) heee..

kinda hungry, we headed to one of my fav place ~ Royal Copenhagen for tea! isn't this the best way to spend your leave...enjoying a nice pot of tea..and watching the world go by...sooo relaxing....

Together with a pot of tea, we enjoyed a "Royal Birth" open-faced sandwich & warm scones!!
& here's the difference how a guy & a gal eat their scones...

* The guy will break the scone into half..and spread the butter, jam & whipped cream all over..and start muching....
* The gal will pinch a little of the scone..and gently spread abit of butter, plus abit of jam, top it up with a little whipped cream..and start nibbling..heee

By the time the gal finishes her little piece of scone, the guy will be staring @ her, hoping to 'polish' off the remainder of her scone..cos he finds that she is eating too slowly.. mmmm....

with some Taka vouchers on hand, decided to head to the bb's corner & got these

:: Babysafe Oval Pillow / pillow case / tongs / pacifier / scrub (for bathing the bb) ::

a quick dinner..and we are off on a 'movie date' to watch "10 Promises to my dog"

as mentioned in my previous post..it was indeed a very touching show...

kinda sum up the very eventful & meaningful day !!
