once we entered the building..i jus couldn't resist the smell of the wafer..and found my legs bringing me rite in front of the ice-cream parlour..looking dearly @ dar..hahaha..
yesh..my 1st ice-cream since preggie !! sooo Yummy !!!

before heading back to Parkway, bot 2 bak-changs for bfast tomolo(w/o realising that Dumpling Festival is round the corner..and they've hiked the price to $8 for the 2 bak-changs..woahh!!)
indeed a satisfying food-hunt(something that we have not done for quite a while..) went shopping for more bb stuff..(yesh..these days, you can find us @ Kiddy Palace, Mothercare, Baby corners of Taka, Isetan..etc..heeee) saw a Capella Stoller that both of us love soo much..but still pondering cos Dar's friend passed us 1 and its in a pretty good condition (plus my FIL just mentioned that he got 1 stroller for us)...but the Capella one is really nice...mmm..we shall head home and sleep on the idea first..before our storeroom turn into a holding area for too many strollers!!!

been having leg cramps in the middle of the night...

& poor hubby has to wake up and massage my calf..

have since shifted the extra pillow (initally for head),

down to support my legs...

and one more pillow to support my back...

and i guess i need one small pillow for my tummy..

oh no...

dear, i think we need to get a bigger bed !!!

my little baby is giving me 'worms'!!

and i would need to drink about 3-4 times..

~Detailed Scan @ TMC~
yippee..able to see bb again..hee..a quick breakfast & off to TMC for our appt at 11.45am.
guess it's gonna be quite a wait..went down to pay for the Antenatal class (starting 26th July)..and back up to Level 4 as we wait patiently for my name to be called =)
Finally...lotsa cold gel was applied all over my tummy..and here we go......
*bb's heart was really pumping very quickly (yesh, their heartbeat is 2x of ours!!)
*as the heart & the brain are the most impt & complex organs..diff angels were taken..and i just stared in disbelief @ the monitor (this is sooo amazing..we can see the pumping of the heart..the movement of the cells..etc..its soo wonderful how the diff cells come together to form the organs..the veins..the blood...reminds me of the documentary "In the Womb"..that soo many things are happening inside me every hour, every min, every sec...amazing is definately an understatement!)
*spinal cord is growing very nicely
*bb was very active..the legs seemed to be in the motion of 'cycling'; hands were moving frantically...the sonographer commented that she need more time to capture & measure the bb...opppsss..(bb, must be guai-guai ok....)
* then the sonographer asked if the gynae had told us the gender..
Me :"mmm, doc said that it looks more like a boy"
Sonographer : "Its confirmed a boy!! you see" (pointed out "IT" to us on the moniter)
Me (jokingly i asked): "there are some cases, that they saw the fingers and tot that it is the p*n**"
Sonographer : "that must be loongg time ago.. now the technology is so advanced, if i see wrongly, then there's something wrong with my certification and experience...see i show you...Fingers, got bones...(showed us our bb's fingers) and penis is flesh..no bones (showed us the screen again)....
Opppsss..first time mummy mah...silly qn as it may seem..but i learn something..heee..nothing wrong to ask.. heee...
Overall, the sonographer commented that bb is growing well..nothing to worry about..
*Smilez* Phew..relief..glad that our little active bb boy is growing well!!!
Off for lunch @ a cafe in TMC ( here's me & my bump @ week 20)
Good thing now is that i've finally overcome my aversion towards fish..(used to puke whenever i eat fish...salmon/cod fish/fillet-o-fish..all end up in the toilet bowl =( ...) @ least now, can start 'pumping' up on my DHA content..good for bb's brain development!!
Seem like gonna spend the whole day @ TMC..cos after lunch..we signed up for a hospital tour...once we entered the delivery ward...the nurse wheeled out a mummy with her new-born bb gal..ohhhh..all of us simply melted...how real can it be..to witness a little baby wheeled out from the delivery ward..awesome!!
next up..visited the diff wards..what can we say...the hospital has definately spent quite a bit to revamp the exisiting wards..and the most impressive were the 6 private suites..think LCD TV..teleconference with the nurses..hotel-like aisle..wow....@ about $1000+ per night...would you consider ??? mmmmm..... (but it's really very nice & comfortable!!)...of cos we'll nt go for that..most put our $$ into better use, ya =)

~SHOPPING~
today is the "Eat with your family day" and we can go off @ 5pm (1 hour earlier)..dar is not free..and its a Fri..mmm..what better way to head down town for some Shopping!!

Went straight to Isetan Scotts to get the steriliser / milk bottle / food warmer / starter kit (was eyeing at that the other day..but dar & i decided to do more homework & found that Taka is selling @ a much higher price..by then..i was breatheless..and couldn't walk back to get it!!!)

At the cashier...Kris commented that they might provide free delivery..and yesh yesh..for purchase of >$100..its free delivery..thanks for reminding gal...

now, empty-handed, i can go shop for more stuffs..hahahha..cummon..its the start of the GSS!!!

Me : "noo...are we able to see? we have been asking bb to co-operate....heee"
Doc : "loooks more like boy..congrats!"
whee...we can finally start our bb shopping....dar was in fact a little disappointed..(he was yearning for a bb gal)..but once we left the clinic..he touched my tummy and said..."Welcome ton-ton, we love you!!, can go and start buying checkers /stripes rompers...balls..cars..etc"
Guess for all parents-to-be...nothing beats hearing that the bb is growing well !! soo glad & happy!!

received a call from the courier man that he's outside my place @ 5pm..Gosh!! i'm still @ work..what is it?? "oh..dun tell me its from the USA!!!, pls leave the parcel with my neighbour..will collect from her later..."
quickly rushed home with dar..and this huge box awaits me @ my neighbour's place..

*An Eventful Day*
:: Swimming::
With the "OK" from Dr Adrain that i can start swimming (definitely not alone!!)..off i went to get a new swim-wear..mmm..wanted to get a bikini but reckon that this will be a better choice..later scare off the fellow swimmers with my tummy!!! hee..still a 2 piece (@ least more discreet..as i start getting a little more conscious..heee)

Lotsa benefits of swimming.... "Swimming has many benefits for pregnant women. When you swim, you use most of the muscle groups in the body. It is also a good cardio workout. Swimming increases circulation, improves muscle tone and strengthens the muscles of the body. Women who swim during pregnancy sleep better and experience less fatigue.
and the one that i agree most is...:

I simply love my "weight" when i'm in the pool..soo light!! and suddenly hubby can 'lift me up', 'piggy-back' me..heee..something which is not very much possible if 'we are on land'..opppsss..
:: Reading::
went to the library to collect this book called " My Baby Journal" (its for all library card holders) pretty interesting..it like a time capsule from pregnancy till the child turn 5..also comes with a music CD..the guy on duty was looking @ my tummy and say.."this book is only for members, you know" ... "yesh, i know, but my card is with my hubby, do you need him to come and show you the card??" ... "no need la..but this is really only for member ok...." (and look @ my tummy again....) mmm.. what can i say ???
anyways, we borrowed a few books..and hubby has been reading to bb every night..(but i guess..it has a greater impact on me..cos before he could finish the story..i had oredi entered dreamlandzzz....)

::Hair::
went to do a colour treatment today!! (have gotten clearance from doc...opps...guess i am always him silly qn like - can go holiday, can do facial, colour hair etc etc..) ..really couldn't stand the diff in the hair colour (blame it on the bleaching the last time round)..reckon that it will only take 15 mins, and not touching the roots..chemical content is much lower..@ least now, i think i look fresher with my darker hair..healthier..and the next time i gonna do another treatment/drastic change to my hair will prob be next year manz.....

well well...it started with an email from Lilian "shall we surprise our hubby?? with a movie date @ Gold Class..." mmm..*ponder* indeed, when was the last time i actually planned something..ever since preggie..he has been attending to my every needs..my whining..my backache..etc..being a movie buff..i'm sure he will enjoy this surprise !! Thanks gal for the splendid suggestion...***ssshhhhhh...its a surprise....***
:: First up, suggested that we shall pop by "Marina by Keppel Bay"..enjoy the view..and here's me with my bump at approx Week 16!!..

Lunch @ Swensen in Vivo...looks yummy but yucks !! oppsss..

and surprise surprise... hubby was abit blur when we walked into the private Gold Class Lounge..& more perplexed when he saw Mr & Mrs Chan.."SURPRISE !!!!" gosh..took him a while to finally get the pic..mmmmm....

Totally blown away by the lounge..yummy selection of food..wine as well..& once we entered the movie theatre...we were like little kids fiddling with the oh-so-comfy plush electronic recliner seats comparable to First Class airline seats. ..with a push of the button..we are reclining all the way ..and what better way to make ourselves more comfortable than taking off our shoes..and cuddle under the blanket (yesh..and you will feel so @ home!!)

will we do this again ?? DEFINITELY !! watching a movie is never gonna be the same again ~ c",)

my bb bump seem to be getting abit of an attention these days...colleagues or frens will come to me.. stare @ the bump..and pass a comment " I think its a boy / i think its a gal".. mmm. both of which is 50% correct....
or start a conversation like " what's your craving?? any morning sickness ??" then derive a conclusion " I think its a boy/I think its a gal"...well..there's so many different school of thoughts - each conflicting themselves.. soooo..Seriously.. whether its a baby minnie / a baby mickey, we will still love our little precious..and kinda 'enjoying' this little anticipation till the 'truth' is out in about 3 weeks time when we go for our detailled scan.. till then.. i will just smile..cos my little precious is still keeping me & hubby in suspense.. (yesh, he/she decided to take a nap & close the legs..thus unable to start shopping for pink or blue stuff..mmmm....)
